About this piece

Description

A four-funnelled liner listing hard inside a black box that is open at the front. Ice and broken rock hold the hull where it has come to rest, and one of the funnels has already gone over. The light is a warm strip along the inside of the top edge, so it falls down the back wall and across the deck rather than out at you — the rails and the row of portholes each pick up a shadow. 24 cm long, 11 cm tall and 8 cm deep. Printed in two colours of PLA: the case in black, white or grey, and the wreck and the ice in ivory. It runs off USB and switches on and off at the lamp. It is a light to look at, not one to read by.

What to expect from a 3D print

Fine layer lines

Every piece is printed 0.2 mm at a time, so up close you will see fine lines across the surface. That is how a 3D print looks.

Slight colour variation

Filament shades can vary a little from spool to spool, so your piece may be a touch lighter or darker than the photos.
